A luxury unique to the heart of the city. Experience an extraordinary moment at Meiji Kinenkan's "kinkei" (Minato-ku, Tokyo)
Head to a perfect lunch spot for a breather in Jingu Gaien. Many might not know that such a relaxing place exists right in the middle of Tokyo!
I arrived at Meiji Kinenkan, located right next to the Gaien exit of the Shuto Expressway.
It’s a magnificent space featuring a lounge and a garden, with a generous 97-space parking lot for visitors. (And it’s free! Imagine that.)
Walking through the impressive entrance, you'll find the restaurant lounge, "kinkei," on your left.
Its calm, classic atmosphere is wonderful, making it highly recommended for a little luxury lunch to treat yourself after a busy day.

From historic recipes to familiar favorites. A treasure trove of Western-style cuisine
The menu offers familiar Japanese-style Western dishes, such as beef curry, omurice (omelet rice), and spaghetti.
After much hesitation, I ordered the "Duck Curry Rice," said to have been served to members of the Imperial family during the Meiji era, and the "Pudding à la Crème Chantilly" for dessert!
Both were so delicious that I found myself savoring every bite slowly. The roasted duck was savory and full of flavor, and the pudding was firm enough to require a bit of pressure with the spoon—a perfect match with the rich cream.

A spot that's best reached by car. Add it to your personal driving route
It’s usually hard to find relaxed parking in this area, but here you can definitely spend time in comfort and luxury without any worries.
Between work and talking about cars, the sun began to set before I knew it. Time to head home.
If you've been spending time in Ginza or Omotesando and feel like getting away from the hustle and bustle for a short break, you should definitely pay a visit!
