While out with a friend on a midsummer day, we started to get a little hungry. So, we headed to 〈DAY & NIGHT〉 in Shirokane.
While the cool interior is nice, enjoying a healthy lunch in the shade with friends is one of the joys of summer.
With its classic white-walled exterior, the shop is popular and often crowded. There is a small window for takeout along the street, making it perfect for pulling up to a nearby parking meter and grabbing your order!
Find your mood for the day from a wide variety of sandwiches
There are all kinds of sandwiches, from standard to unique. It’s great that they are all satisfying in size! I ordered the PLT, which is the basic and best choice.
The fresh lime tonic I chose to go with it had a refreshing scent of mint, which makes you feel happy even in the sweltering heat.
It looks refreshing and goes perfectly with a drive, so I highly recommend it.
Time spent with the car before tucking into our sandwiches
Once we successfully got our sandwiches, we headed back to the car.
It’s cool to do an American-style takeaway, placing sandwiches and drinks inside a rich, esprit-filled sedan that looks like it belongs outside a French restaurant!
The car filling with the delicious aroma builds anticipation even more, making it more exciting than eating at the shop.
Once we arrived at the park, we had a fun lunch while chatting away with everyone.
We had a great time, talking about topics beyond just our car.
It seems the menu changes from morning to dinner, so I’ll have to come back again.
